Child Safety Seminar for Latino Parents
What: Eugene Police Mano a Mano: Child Safety Tips
When: Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.
Where: Centro de Fe, 540 Adams Street, Eugene
Details: Lessons in child safety and keeping children safe as preparations begin for the new school year.
As part of the Eugene Police Department’s “Mano a Mano” community outreach program, Officer Robert Rios will be presenting parents with essential tips for teaching children about strangers, the importance of maintaining current information about the child, and suggestions to help keep kids safe to and from school. Crime Prevention staff will also be on hand to assist with child fingerprinting should parents be interested.
Eugene Police Mano a Mano en la Comunidad (“Hand in Hand in the Community”) is targeted to the Latino community and program will be in Spanish, but all community members are welcome to attend. Mano a Mano outreach events are held to provide information and strengthen connections between Eugene Police and Eugene’s Latino community.
