Santa Clara-River Road Outreach and Learning project (SCRROL)

If you would like to host a home gathering for SCRROL, please contact info@scrrol.org. We will bring maps to help us discuss our park district, street maintenance, public transit access and bike/pedestrian safety, governance issues, and land use (zoning, housing development, neighborhood commercial needs). We want to learn your concerns and hopes for our future.

Save the dates of October 4 and October 13 for SCRROL forums. The Leadership Team will have information gathered from our neighbors to share and give you an additional opportunity to add your ideas about how to make our area the most livable neighborhood around for the next 20 years.

Santa Clara Community Organization (SCCO) meetings are held the first Thursday of each month from 7:00 to 9:00 at Messiah Lutheran Church (3280 River Road). Contact Jerry Finigan at jerry@scrrol.org.

May we add your e-mail address to the SCRROL e-list? You would receive notices of upcoming community events where we will be tabling and holding forums.

Here’s how to contact SCRROL.

The Lane County Commissioners are meeting on August 31 and a discussion of River Road and Santa Clara issues (as part of a larger discussion) are on the agenda at 11:00 a.m. Check the Lane County website for the agenda http://www.lanecounty.org/BCC_Info/Meeting_Info/2011/Agenda11-8-31.html and accompanying documents. You can also watch a webcast of the meeting at (www.lanecounty.org). Concern is being expressed about the recent article in the Register-Guard about the region between the UBG and the metro boundaries. This has a high probability of affecting our neighborhoods air quality and stormwater drainage. Here’s the website for the R-G article.
