RRCO Board and General Meeting, March 14, 2011

RRCO Board and General meeting – Board elections and presentation of Santa Clara River Road Outreach and Learning (SCRROL) framework
Monday, March 14, 2011, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
River Road Annex, 1055 River Road

There are 170 River Roaders qualified to vote or run for the River Road Board in the election Monday evening. Five of the current members’ terms are at an end. We need you to consider being a Board candidate. And be sure to come and vote for some good board members. We have a large project ahead of us this year that will be exciting. And we are going to need many volunteers to help with some educational and fun events to help us learn about our current governance systems, improving transportation, strengthening support for parks and recreation, and clarifying land use for current residents and those desiring to develop land.

This is your opportunity to participate in decision making for our area. Contact Co-Chairs Ray Neff or Carleen Reilly if you have questions.

Jan Spencer is working on a project called “Creating Safer, More Secure and Healthier Neighborhoods.” A review of locations for presentations will occur at the Monday evening meeting. Contact Jan Spencer at for more information. You can also view his work at www.suburbanpermaculture.

A video interviewing River Road and Santa Clara neighbors has been posted on the Envision Eugene website. There is probably someone you know in this video. Take a look. www.envisioneugene.org You can also see a draft proposal to go to the City Council and give your feedback on this proposal at this website.
