This is coming to you because you attended a SCRRIPT Listening Session or signed up to attend and for whatever reason were no able to participate.
To begin with, I want to thank our wonderful neighbors who stepped up to host our neighborhood Listening Sessions: Polly, Hillary, Roberta and Trinity United Methodist Church, Lynn, Jo, and Linda. They were willing to take a chance on us and this unknown process called a Listening Session. Their care and concern for the neighborhood exceeded their concerns. We are very grateful that they opened their homes and provided refreshments. They are the mark of hospitality of the River Road community.
SCRRIPT is holding two Forums to provide you information about what we heard during the 14 Listening Sessions held between late June and mid-September. The Santa Clara Forum will be held November 6 at 7:00 at the Messiah Lutheran Church. Information from the Santa Clara Listening Sessions will be presented at the SCCO meeting.
The River Road Forum will be held on November 10 at 7:00 at the River Road Annex, 1055 River Road. Comments from the River Road Listening Sessions will be presented for RRCO neighbors.
We want your feedback, and we’ll lay out some next steps. We will invite more community members to join what we are calling a Community Resource Group (CRG). We will work to develop our land use area plan, strategize how to accomplish transportation fixes, think through possible solutions for our public safety needs, consider governance changes, work on Park and Recreation suggestions, and tend to other ideas submitted by neighbors.
We hope to put ALL comments on RRCO website (riverroadco.org) for you to review at your leisure. There will also be compilations from all River Road sessions according to topic (land use, transportation, etc.) will also be there. It is a large quantity of information, so it has not been posted yet. We hope to have it up very soon.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
P.S. Some of you have been relaying information about the Listening Sessions to neighbors who do not have computers. Please let them know about the upcoming forums. We appreciate your help.
